aka (Old Irish: rí Ulad, modern Irish: rí Uladh), King of Ulaid, The title rí in Chóicid, which means "king of the Fifth", was also sometimes used.[1] Some secondary or lesser kingdoms in Ulad are Dál Riata, Duibthrian, Leth Cathail, Lathairne, Crotraige, Brétach, Fortuatha, Monaig, and others.[2]
